We went to Ikea last weekend with Jesse’s mom and sister. We planned to buy an island to wheel around in our kitchen to provide more counter space for food prep, but none of the options fit the bill so we left without an island but not empty handed. Can you leave IKEA empty handed?!
We cannot. So, we bought a few things like smoothie straws and a clock and plastic bags. Exciting stuff! Jesse and I love to walk through the showroom, be inspired, and talk everything out all along the way.
While we worked through the whole island problem, we walked through and found so many things to love. Today, I’m sharing my favorites with you!
I love this bed! The color of the wood; the rounded edges of the posts. It’s beautiful!
For several months now, I have been dreaming of floor lamps. Pretty much all the lamps in our home are table lamps – I would love to have a floor lamp in the sitting room one day. This lamp has an industrial look I love, because I struggle to balance the space with masculine touches that help Jesse feel at home. This lamp would be the perfect item infusing a space with more masculine style.
I love rugs! (though we only own one because our house had two when we moved into it) A rug does so much to soften a space and bring it together that I know once we move out of this house, we will have to invest in a few. Ikea has some great rug options. I especially like this one!
In the spirit of downsizing and going small, I like this dining table. It is compact enough to fit in a small space but can expand to seat four people comfortably. Plus it is rather cute with the white legs and wood finished top.
Those are a few of my favorite finds at Ikea right now – in fact I could do a whole post on each room in our house and what I would get from Ikea but I will spare you. I hope we can add some of them to our home in the future! Happy weekending!
